Brief description of the main solutions

The objective of technical re-equipment is the generator circuit of the TG-1 generator at Power unit 1 of Rivne NPP with a nominal capacity of 440 MW (with two electrical units of 220 MW each).

The basic technical solutions that determine all measures for the technical re-equipment of the generator circuit are as follows:

  • instead of the existing VMG-20-90/11200 generator circuit breaker, a complete phase-insulated HB3 generator switchgear from Siemens was accepted for installation - with a generator vacuum circuit breaker - with air insulation (hereinafter - the HB3 device);
  • the NVZ device is located on the passage of the generator current ducts at el. +5.450 - on the site closer to row A, at the same height with current conductors from the block transformer T-1.

The accepted placement of the HB3 device determines the possible safety in operation of the sections of the existing generator conductors and the equipment built into them.

With the preserved sections of the existing bus ducts, new bus ducts are connected, which are necessary for connecting the HB3 device to the generator circuit.
