Brief Description of Main Solutions
The unique feature of the object is that of the SS underground version, which has not had the earlier prototype in the CIS countries. The building was made as octahedron, of the 60 meters outer diameter, the building lower level (the cable floor premise) is located at minus 18.950 elevation, the 220 kV GIS main power equipment and SF6 gas-insulated transformers at minus 15.450 elevation.
The new construction object «220 kV Smirnovo SS» is made in terms of design solutions, regarding the possibility of construction above the substation of the office building.
The 220 kV «Smirnovo» SS connection to the electric power networks of the Moscow power system is to be carried out based on the scheme «lead-in – lead-out» of the 220 kV cable OVL Novovnukovo – Ochakovo with the new power transmission lines 220 kV Ochakovo – Smirnovo and 220 kV power transmission line Smirnovo – Novovnukovo to be provided.
At the 220 kV «Smirnovo» SS are to be installed two SF6 gas-insulated step-up transformers of the 63 МVА capacity each in the common premise with 220 kV GIS.
