500/220 kV «Zapadnaya» SS Construction

Brief Description of Main Solutions
The 500 kV and 220 kV connections are to be made based on the 1 ½ circuit breaker scheme.
Installed are to be four three-phase auto transformers of 500 МVА capacity each.
For connection of the local district consumers at the SS are to be installed two 220/20-20 kV three-phase transformers of 63 МVА capacity each.
Quantity of connections to the 500 kV switchgear at complete development – 10.
Quantity of connections for 220 kV – 18.
As the HV switchgears is to be used the 500 kV GIS of the Т155 type and -220 kV GIS of the В105 type of «Areva» Company production.
Two 500 kV lines are OVL and two (in perspective) cable lines, 220 kV – cable lines and cable OVL.
The construction was completed in 2009.
