Technical and economic indicators of the project

The new EP-600 ethylene production complex is designed to process straight-run naphtha and stable gas naphtha into polymer grade ethylene, polymer grade propylene, butadiene, benzene, as well as petrochemical by-products.

The process is licensed by Linde AG (Pullach, Germany).

The new EP-600 ethylene production complex consists of the following sections: pyrolysis section, BTK recovery section, hydrodealkylation section, butadiene recovery section, auxiliary facilities for off-site and heat supply.

The capacity of the EP-600 New Ethylene Production Complex is:

  • 600.0 thousand tons / g of polymer grade ethylene;
  • 270.0 thousand tons / g of polymer grade propylene;
  • 89.3 thousand tons / g of butadiene;
  • 247.84 thousand tons / g of high purity benzene.

The operating mode is continuous, round-the-clock.

The production is designed to operate with a turnaround time of 5 years, without stopping for maintenance, scheduled or major repairs.

The range of stable operation of the installation for raw materials is 60-100%.

The derated capacity required is 60% of the full design capacity.

Ethylene liquefaction at 100% plant load: 40%.

The service life of the installation is 20 years.

The new EP-600 ethylene production complex is designed for the production of the following products:

  • polymer grade ethylene;
  • polymer grade propylene;
  • butadiene;
  • benzene;
  • hydrogen;
  • raffinate C4 (BIF: butylene-isobutylene fraction);
  • crude (non-hydrogenated) commercial C5 fraction;
  • crude (non-hydrogenated) commercial C9 fraction;
  • pyrolysis gas oil;
  • pyrolysis fuel oil (heavy pyrolysis resin);
  • crude fraction C4.

Brief description of the work performed by us

The scope of work of TEP-SOYUZ included the development of working documentation for the sections KM, KZh, OV.

Within the scope of the QOL section, documentation has been developed for pile foundations for:

  • equipment (more than 50 items of equipment);
  • technological overpasses (34 overpass sections);
  • cooling towers;
  • reinforced concrete paving slabs (roads, territory of technological areas, including reinforced concrete paving slabs with heating, area between technological areas).

Within the scope of the KM section, documentation on metal structures has been developed:

  • multi-tiered technological overpasses (34 overpass sections), the dimensions of which were up to 40 m in height and up to 20 m in width. The total weight of the designed building structures is about 6,000 tons, the weight of individual overpass sections - up to 800 tons.
  • freestanding stair towers for maintenance and access to equipment. The height of the stair towers is up to 100 m.
  • equipment maintenance platforms.

Within the scope of the QOL section, documentation has been developed for pile foundations for:

  • heating of reinforced concrete paving slabs (12 sections).
