Brief Description of Main Solutions

The new sulfur acid production is based on the use of the sulfur acid plant of the 1500 t/day capacity. Due to the technology the sulfur acid works receives the by- product– steam, which is to be used for electric power generation production.

The objective of the Power Generation Complex construction is the electric and heat power provision for the sulfur acid production needs by the steam recovery, which is the sulfur acid works by-product. The excess generated electric power is to be transmitted to the network.

The object construction was completed in 2010.

The Power Generation Complex includes:

  • Main building with primary equipment (the turbine hall with built-on to it the multi-storey rack for the electric engineering devices with the service premises);
  • Underground emergency oil discharge tank;
  • Oil facilities (outdoor oil store and the oil pumping plant building);
  • Process pipes trestle within the Power Generation Complex designing boundary limits;
  • Process systems: the condensate loop, the circulating and service water loop, the oil supply, drains, the heating system water within the Power Generation Complex designing boundary limits;
  • Steam pipes within the Power Generation Complex designing boundary limits;
  • Cable routes within the Power Generation Complex designing boundary limits.

Power Generation Complex primary equipment within the sulfur acid works frames:

The steam turbine generator of the GE 6-8МС7 type of General Electric Company, the rated capacity is 18.5 MW.
