Purpose of modernization
- Full compliance of the normal operation systems important for the safety of the turbine compartment (I&C, TMC, TPIS, AC&RC) with the new regulatory documents put into effect during the operation of Power unit 3 of the South-Ukraine NPP: NP306.2.141-2008, NP306.2.145-2008, NP306.2.202-2015, PNAEG 5-006-87 , GKD 34.20.507-2003, VSN V.1.1-034-03.307-2003 and others;
- Replacement of the obsolete equipment of the systems with modern equipment;
- Increase of the safety level of Power unit 3 of the South-Ukraine NPP;
- Reduction the probability of erroneous operation of equipment due to erroneous (unauthorized) actions of personnel;
- Preparation of Power unit 3 of the South-Ukraine NPP for the continuation of the operation time.
