Rivne NPP. Power unit 2. Modernization of K-220-44 turbine ARPS for participation in the standardized primary frequency regulation in Ukrainian power grid. Detailed design
Site location: Varash, Rivne region, Ukraine
Client: SE NNEGC Energoatom
Design stage: Detailed design
The objective of the project
General primary frequency regulation (PFR) is carried out at all power plants with power units with the design characteristics of the installed equipment. Quantitative indicators of the general primary regulation of the frequency of NPP power units currently do not fully conform to those specified in SOU-N EE YEK 04.159:2009, therefore this modification is also aimed at improving the quality of general PFR.
Standardized primary frequency and power regulation (PFPR) should be carried out on selected power units of NPPs and contribute to ensuring the guaranteed level of quality of primary regulation in Ukrainian power grid.
The automatic regulation and protection system (ARPS) of turbo-units is subject to technical re-equipment.
