Brief Description of Main Solutions

 

   The Project «Reconstruction of the 750 kV, 330 kV, 110 kV, 35 kV switchyards at the transformer substations 750 kV Dniprovska SS, 750 kV Zaporizka SS, 330 kV Kharkivska SS, 330 kV Zalyutine SS is targeted at the reconstruction of highly demanded substations at the eastern part of Ukraine. This Project is mainly aimed at ensuring the loads covering and the electric power consumption in conditions of worse electric power supply (caused by damages and partial occupation of the Eastern Ukraine), at ensuring the reliable operation of the electric power transmission system as a whole and the Dneper and Northern Power Systems, in particular, as well as preparation for integration of the Ukraine integrated power grid with the European Network of Operators of the Electric Power Transmission Systems ("ENTSO-E"). One of the key limitations is the HV substations technical state, most of which were built within the time period from 50th till 70th of the last century. The tear and wear of the HV equipment components, the service life of some of which has expired, may result to general deterioration of the electric power supply and transmission reliability and quality. For maintenance and repair of the substations with each coming year is needed the additional financing, regarding the fact, that the equipment is obsolete and requires the personnel to be hired not only for the equipment operation but for its current repairs and overhauls. SE "NPC "Ukrenergo" tends to solve the situation by means of modernization of the electric power transmission lines for the perspective with their further transfer to automated control and minimization of the service personnel.
